I thought this section deserved its own page as it was a key highlight for some of the views we experienced. Now, there are a couple of different definitions of the Triple Crown: some well known ones are:

The Triple Crown in American Horse Racing; winning the Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes, and Belmont Stakes in a single season.

The Triple Crown of Hiking; the three major U.S. long-distance hiking trails: Pacific Crest Trail (PCT), the Appalachian Trail (AT) and the Continental Divide Trail (CDT) completing them in ones lifetime.

Virginia's Triple Crown - Dragon's Tooth, McAfee Knob & Tinker Cliffs. This Triple Crown is an experience that features some of the best hiking, and views, in the Roanoke Valley in Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains. I am sure there are and will be other great views and hikes further along the trail, which MacGyver and I most certainly are looking forward to, however, this "Triple Crown" was a memorable experience!

Although Dragon's Tooth and McAfee Knob were fantastic views, Tinkers Cliff offered such a wide range of panoramic and beautiful views that seemed to go on for miles along the cliff!
